The New Berlin Area Historical Society is working on a new area historical book!   This book will take the excellent work done on the 1965 book and 1991 supplement and expand and encompass even more information of western Sangamon County.

 

In order to do this, we need your help!  As a start, the 1965 book and the 1991 supplement have been scanned and placed into several files.   It is our hope that these files will be a help to those who have additional information and would help us by adding or clarifying the information.  If you would like to take even a part of one or more areas of interest below and expand on the information given, it would be a great help! 

 

The files are stored in Microsoft® Word format.  Clicking on a link below will prompt to download or view the file.  Most word processors can be used to read and to update the information.  There may be some spelling errors from the scanning process.  There are no pictures in these files to make it easier to work with the text.  The text will be formatted and pictures added during the editing process later.

 

If you would like to work with us (or others) to update the information or have pictures that we can use, please let us know!  We can put you in touch with others who have the same interests (businesses, genealogy, etc.)!
