Historic Places Map
Items of local historic interest have been placed on a Google Earth map. Locations have been divided into the following categories:
Businesses (Current and Historic)
Cemeteries (Current and Historic)
Churches, (Current and Historic)
Homes (Historic)
Historic Events (Storm Tracks and other Historic Events)
Historic Locations (places and names not found on current maps)
Infrastructure (Highways, Railroads, Utilities)
Mines and Mining Companies (all Historic)
Parks and Recreation
Schools (Current and Historic)
Waterways (including some names not found on current maps)
The map is a work-in-progress.
Items shown with dates represent the date of the map that has the item shown.
Items shown in brackets are assumed names.
The instructions below show how to use the file in Google Earth. If you do not have Google Earth on your PC, you will need to install it from the Google Earth page: http://earth.google.com/intl/en/. The link below will automatically display any updates to the map.

1. Highlight and copy the link below to the clipboard.
2. Launch Google Earth on your PC.
3. Click 'File' from the Menu Bar and then select 'Open'.
4. Paste the link into the filename field to view.
